Bryn Afon has more to offer than simply Bed and Breakfast in a beautiful location.Our Betws-y-Coed B&B combines stunning scenery with all the benefits of a truly central Betws-y-Coed location and the extra convenience of our own Private Car Park.
Whether you want fine traditional Welsh Fayre, the tastiest pub grub or prefer to just sit outside with a portion of take away chips then we have everything you need within a stones throw (literally) of our front door. Convenience doesn't stop there! Enjoy Sandwiches, a newspaper and a bottle of wine from the nearby Spar Bakery and convenience store, while snacking and relaxing in our front garden or riverside jetty.
If food and drink by the river doesn't float your boat then go take a hike (in the nicest possible way, of course). We have information on numerous Riverside and Gwydir Forest walks to places like Swallow Falls, Lake Elsi and Fairy Glen. Many walks start from the 15th century Pont-y-Pair (Bridge of the Foaming Cauldron - circa 1468) stone bridge that is situated at the entrance to our front garden so there is no need to drive anywhere before setting off.
If none of this tickles your fancy then you may wish to hop on a bike and tour one of the many Mountain Bike Trails such as the Marin (3 miles from our Guest House), Penmachno or Coed-y-Brenin Trails. Bring your own bike and take advantage of our free bike storage or hire a bike from the nearby specialist Betws-y-Coed bike hire shop or one of the Outdoor shops.
If relaxing, hiking or biking is not your thing then we have a seemingly endless list of Snowdonia attractions for you to explore at your leisure. The Peak of Mount Snowdon (there is a train!), Castles galore and wonderful Steam Railways are just a few of the many Snowdonia attractions that are a short drive from our excellent touring location.
